I don't know if it's real but was shocked when i first read it ... If it's real all kpop companies(eg,YG,JYP,SM) merge together go oppose CJ&GM!! hahas Read this... MNet banned SM. The reason is because a Korean corporation called CJ Corporation that originally used to be a part of the Samsung group formed an alliance with a Japanese company called GM (Owner of MNET), and the partnership is now trying to buy all the other entertainment companies as well. This is why when you buy a YG Entertainment album, it's sold under the MNet label instead of YG, because YG has also been acquired by MNet. MNet are now trying to buy SM as well to "control" the entertainment world much like Johnny's does in Japan, but since SM makes plenty of money by themselves they haven't needed to join MNet and have refused all offers. This lead to SM being banned from MNet to pressure them to join, and it creates a lose-lose situation for both companies, as ratings fall for MNet's music shows, and SM no longer gets the exposure it once used to get with variety shows based around their new groups that used to be aired on MNet. SM may be successful, but CJ has a lot more money in it's reserves and even if MNet does lose out in the ratings, they'll most likely lose less than SM does through this ban and they're in the position to be able to pressure SM with the backing of Samsung. All the revenue from the entertainment industry in Korea pretty much goes to CJ in the end. They originally used to focus on the movie industry but they've now moved onto the music industry recently. YG Entertainment was CJ&GM;'s first target after they decided to merge all the entertainment companies together, and Yang Hyun Seok had resisted for a very long time as well, but CJ started to take away YG artists such as Hwisung and they eventually buckled to the pressure, because no matter how successful Big Bang are, they're simply not as financially stable as SM. After Hwisung was taken from YG Entertainment by CJ, Yang Hyun Seok left a note on YG Family's site talking about the ordeal: "A certain big corporation[CJ] hiding their sharp teeth behind their fake smiles and all the people that had been the best of friends with us just until yesterday[referring to Hwisung probably], for all those who say that money is everything and everything can be bought with money[CJ] I will work harder and become a better man. I will do so with those who are different to your kind, with the honest YG Family" YG decided to challenge CJ head on, and because of this YG started struggling. GOM Tv and Max Music are brands from CJ, and as a result Big Bang's documentary started being blocked on GOM TV channels, and Big Bang who were number 1 at the time disappeared from the Max Music charts. After CJ took Hwisung they also tried to take Se7en, but he refused and renewed his contract with YG. It's also believed that the reason YG focused so much on overseas promotions (e.g. Se7en) is because of CJ's presence in Korea, and it's possibly also the reason why Se7en has returned to Korea now, because there's no reason to avoid CJ anymore, since they're a part of the same group now. There's always two sides to a story. Allkpop said YG killed off Se7en's career, but it's partly due to CJ. YG and SM have been bullied by CJ for years now. Fangirls may put both companies against each other, but the real enemy is CJ who is trying to manipulate the media to suit their business ventures. Both companies have been struggling together. The Korean entertainment industry is being taken over by the richer Japanese. This is why all the talk of SM and YG buying awards from MNet are all rubbish, because they were never on good terms with them. This is also why most of the time artists under the GM label win the most awards at MKMF (SeeYa, SG Wannabe, Davichi e.t.c.) and the big artists from other companies are given a few of the awards that aren't really acknowledging their achievements, just to keep the public from raising any suspicions. This is also the reason why SM artists have such busy schedules. It's to make enough money to survive alone without having to join the CJ&GM; partnership. Comparing the money SM and CJ&GM; make is like comparing a hill to the Himalayas. CJ&GM; have the power. Whether you're a fan of SNSD, or Big Bang, or DBSK, or whatever, they're all at risk of being CJ&GM; owned brands. There is however, also talk of companies such as SM & JYP & YG & several others coming together to create a combined music awards show as an alternative to the MKMF, called the KMP Project for a relatively fairer awards show. They could be joining together to oppose the CJ&GM; partnership, as they sure as hell can't do it alone, unfortunately though even if these 3 big companies did come together they simply wouldn't compare.
